Ostuni

Ostuni is a small town of 30,000 about 15 miles east of Martina Franca. Everything in the town is white and it feels like a seaside town though it’s a few miles from the Adriatic Sea.

The old town is located high above the modern town below. You enter the winding streets and climb to the cathedral at the top. From here the view to the sea was wonderful. You could almost smell the salt air.

Clearly, it's a whitewash

On our way down we got a sense for how things stayed so white. A bucket, a drop cloth, and a roller on an extension handle and you could make your own white city.
